Littoral (Tideline)

Elad Theatre, The Old Terminal, Eilat 2022
Premiere production by Lebanese playwright Wajdi Mouawad, one of the leading dramatists in Europe today.

One night, Wilfrid receives an unexpected phone call announcing the death of the father he never knew. Determined to piece together the puzzle of his life and uncover the truth about his father and family, he sets out on a journey with his father’s body toward his family’s wounded homeland.

This is a physical and emotional coming-of-age journey into the depths of life itself. In this production, the vast space of the old terminal is transformed into a fantastical theatrical arena: multiple levels, rooms, immersive sets, music, and video projections surround the audience in 360 degrees, inviting them to dive into the inner worlds of a son and father who never had the chance to meet, but were given the chance to say goodbye.
